1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RemitRight's AI-powered bill collection platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Service Description

RemitRight provides an AI-powered platform for automated bill collection, payment processing, and customer communication. Our Service includes:

• Automated SMS-based payment collection
• AI-generated professional collection messages
• Payment link generation and processing via Stripe
• Bill upload and OCR analysis
• Customer portal for payment management
• Analytics and reporting features

3. Eligibility

To use RemitRight, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
• Operate a legitimate business with valid invoices/bills for collection
• Comply with all applicable Canadian federal and provincial laws
• Not be previously suspended or banned from using RemitRight

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

4.2 Lawful Use

You agree to use RemitRight only for legitimate debt collection purposes in compliance with:

• Canadian federal and provincial collection laws
• Anti-spam legislation (CASL)
• Privacy laws (PIPEDA)
• Consumer protection regulations

4.3 Prohibited Activities

You may not:

• Collect fraudulent or disputed debts
• Harass, threaten, or abuse debtors
• Upload false, misleading, or inaccurate information
• Attempt to circumvent platform fees or payment processing
• Reverse engineer or compromise the Service's security
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Platform Fees

RemitRight charges a percentage-based fee on successfully collected payments. Specific fee structures are displayed during signup and in your account dashboard. Fees are subject to change with 30 days notice.

5.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed through Stripe. You must connect a valid Stripe account to receive payouts. Stripe's terms of service and fees apply to all transactions. RemitRight is not responsible for Stripe processing delays or disputes.

5.3 Refunds

Platform fees are non-refundable. If a payment is refunded to your customer, RemitRight will reverse the corresponding platform fee within 30 days.

6. AI-Generated Content

RemitRight uses AI to generate collection messages. While our AI is designed to create professional, compliant communications, you remain responsible for:

• Reviewing AI-generated messages before sending (when applicable)
• Ensuring all communications comply with applicable laws
• Accuracy of information provided to the AI
• Appropriateness of collection timing and frequency

7. Intellectual Property

RemitRight retains all rights to its software, algorithms, branding, and platform features. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of RemitRight is governed by our Privacy Policy. You grant us permission to process customer data necessary to provide the Service. You represent that you have obtained all necessary consents from your customers to share their information with RemitRight.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REMITRIGHT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Lost profits, revenue, or data
• Customer disputes or non-payment
• Third-party service failures (Stripe, Twilio, etc.)
• Damages exceeding fees paid in the last 12 months

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold RemitRight harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of applicable laws or regulations
• Fraudulent or invalid debt collection attempts
• Disputes with your customers
• Your use of the Service in any unlawful manner

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent activity or misuse
• Non-payment of fees
• Legal or regulatory requirements
• Excessive customer complaints

You may cancel your account at any time. Outstanding fees remain due upon termination.

12. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or platform notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
